The Raptors men's soccer team, currently ranked #14 in the NJCAA Division I rankings, kicked off their home schedule with a thrilling 3–2 win over USC-Lancaster.
Montgomery dominated possession in the first half, controlling the tempo and heading into the locker room with a commanding 3–0 lead. Goals in the opening half came from #9 Oscar Alvarado-Celis, #23 Kenjy Vertil-Dorelus, and #31 Joshua Doffoh.
In the second half, the Raptors shifted focus to defense, holding off a late push from the Lancers, who nearly equalized in the closing minutes.
With the season off to a strong start, the Raptors return to Alcus Field on Sunday, August 31, for a marquee matchup against #11-ranked Daytona State College. Kickoff is set for 11:30 a.m.
