Raptors Rally on Sophomore Day for 98–86 Home Win
Rockville, MD - The Montgomery College men's basketball team celebrated Sophomore Day in style, using a strong second half to pull away from Westmoreland County Community College for a 98–86 home victory. After a tightly contested opening half, the Raptors elevated their intensity on both ends of the floor, outscoring Westmoreland 57–44 after the break to secure the win.
Before tip-off, Montgomery honored seven sophomores — Ian Pascal, Christopher Levy, Osman Mansaray, Isaiah Renaud, Aimane Elbouazzaoui, Mohammed Lo, and Joseph Bueno-Blyden — and the group played a key role in the team's second-half surge.

First Half: The game opened at a fast pace, with both teams trading baskets throughout. Montgomery stayed within striking distance and went into halftime trailing by just one, 42–41.
