Raptors Fall to County College of Morris, 100–88
Randolph, NJ — Despite an efficient offensive outing and multiple standout performances, the Montgomery College men's basketball team came up short on Sautrday afternoon, falling 100–88 to County College of Morris. The matchup featured high-level shot-making and fast tempo throughout, but a strong second-half surge from Morris ultimately proved to be the difference. Montgomery opened the game with confidence, shooting the ball at a high clip and controlling the glass early. The Raptors edged ahead 45–44 at halftime behind balanced scoring and strong interior play. But the Titans responded with a dominant second half, outscoring Montgomery 56–43 over the final 20 minutes and capitalizing on turnovers and transition opportunities to pull away late.
Pascal Posts Monster Double-Double
Sophomore guard Ian Pascal delivered a career-caliber performance, finishing with 29 points and 12 rebounds on an impressive 12-of-19 shooting. Pascal attacked the rim with consistency, knocked down mid-range looks, and controlled the defensive glass. He added 2 assists and 2 steals, playing 32 high-energy minutes and keeping Montgomery within striking distance throughout.
Levy, Emecheta, and Elbouazzaoui Add Key Production
Guard Christopher Levy continued his strong two-way play, scoring 19 points while going 9-for-10 from the free-throw line. Levy also handed out 3 assists and came up with 2 steals, providing steady scoring and playmaking in the backcourt.
Forward Jordan Emecheta recorded a double-double of his own with 11 points and 10 rebounds, shooting an efficient 3-of-4 from the field and contributing 4 blocks defensively.
Off the bench, Aimane Elbouazzaoui played a major role in keeping the Raptors' offense moving. He scored 13 points, pulled down 8 rebounds, and dished out 3 assists across 26 minutes, giving Montgomery valuable versatility in the frontcourt.
Freshman guard Farah Abdalla added 7 points and 4 steals, providing a defensive spark, while Adrian Amaya chipped in 5 points on perfect shooting.
Strong Shooting, But Turnovers Prove Costly
Montgomery shot an impressive 56.1% from the field and 40% from three, making the most of their half-court opportunities. The Raptors also controlled the boards with 41 total rebounds, winning the battle in the paint.
However, turnovers became the deciding factor. Morris capitalized on MC mistakes, turning giveaways into fast-break points and momentum swings—particularly in the second half, where the Titans' pressure sped up the game and shifted control.
