Raptors Drop Season Opener vs. Raritan Valley
Dundalk, Md. – The Montgomery College men's basketball team opened the 2025-26 season on Saturday with a hard-fought loss to Raritan Valley Community College at the Don Beasley Mixer, hosted by CCBC Dundalk. The game marked the debut for new head coach Coach Blackman, as the Raptors began a new era of MC basketball with several promising individual performances.
Sophomore guard Ian Pascal led the Raptors with a game-high 25 points, shooting 10-of-22 from the field and adding four rebounds, an assist, and a steal. Christopher Levy followed with 15 points and three assists, knocking down three three-pointers on the night.
Off the bench, Adrian Amaya provided a major spark, tallying 16 points on 6-of-9 shooting, including three from beyond the arc, while adding five rebounds and four assists. Mohammed Lo anchored the defense with a strong rebounding effort, pulling down 9 in limited minutes.
Despite the loss, the Raptors showed depth and energy throughout the rotation, setting the foundation for a competitive season ahead.
