Raptors Fall at Howard CC Despite Strong Second Half Push
Columbia, MD - The Montgomery College men's basketball team battled on the road last Friday night but came up short in a 99–83 loss to Howard Community College. After a challenging first half, the Raptors responded with improved energy and execution after the break, but Howard's early advantage and timely scoring proved to be the difference.
-
First Half: Howard set the tone early, building a 39–27 halftime lead by capitalizing on transition opportunities and second-chance points.
-
Second Half: Montgomery answered with a much stronger offensive showing, scoring 56 points and cutting into the deficit, but Howard continued to match baskets and maintain separation.
-
Final: The Raptors showed resilience and fight down the stretch, but the early hole was too much to overcome in the 99–83 final.
