McHenry, MD - The Montgomery College baseball team concluded its 2026 season this past saturday after a hard fought Region 20 Tournament play-in series, which saw them finish 1-1 on the day. Under Head Coach Dan Rascher, the Raptors wrapped up another successful campaign with a 31-19 overall record and 20-8 division record.
Game 1: Raptors Advance with Strong All-Around Performance
#5 seed Montgomery opened the play-in round against #8 seed Anne Arundel and earned an impressive victory behind explosive offense and strong pitching. The Raptors received contributions throughout the lineup, highlighted by Blake Newell, who went 3-for-4 with 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored. Shakir Rodriguez-Muhammad added 3 runs and an RBI, while Eromosele Okojie and Mickey Anderson each delivered multi-hit performances.
On the mound, Ryan Woolery earned the win after tossing six strong innings with seven strikeouts.

Montgomery's season came to an end in a dramatic 12-11 loss to #4 seed Garrett College in the deciding game of the play-in round. The Raptors fought back multiple times and scored six combined runs over the final two innings, but Garrett held on in a back-and-forth offensive contest.
Montgomery totaled 12 hits, led by several standout offensive performances. Zachary Pyles went 3-for-5 with 3 RBIs, while Jackson Freeman added 3 hits, 3 runs scored, and 3 RBIs. Eromosele Okojie also delivered a huge game with 3 hits and 4 RBIs.
