Germantown, MD - The Montgomery College baseball team capped off a memorable 2026 Spring Raptor Day with a doubleheader sweep over Cecil College, combining dominant play on the field with a celebration of sophomore student-athletes from Baseball and Track & Field. The day featured a packed crowd, free food and refreshments, Italian ice treats, and live coverage from MCTV. Sophomores were honored for their contributions, and Senior Vice President for Student Affairs, Dr. Tiffany Ray-Patterson, delivered the ceremonial first pitch, adding to an electric day.
The Raptors set the tone early and never looked back, scoring 15 runs on 11 hits in a commanding win. The Raptors jumped ahead with three runs in the first and broke the game open with an eight-run fifth inning. Complete domination from the Raptors led to the 10-run mercy rule to end the game in the fifth inning.
