The Montgomery College Raptors Men's 4x800 M Relay team are National Champions; MC Track and Field Team Finishes Fifth Overall
The Montgomery College men's 4x800 m relay team, which consists of Sam Posniewski, Lorenzo Andaya, Delick Mutabazi and Ernest Long brought home a national championship with a time of 8:16.86. The team finished fifth over-all at the Track and Field National Championships out of 19 schools from around the country.

The Raptors had a good showing all around. Devonte Johnson finished second in shot put just missing first and finishing sixth in the hammer. Michael Scott finished second and Zachary Richardson-Jackson seventh in the long jump finals.
The Raptors' 4x100m relay team (Lud Blair, Brett Evans, Michael Scott, and Zach Richard-Jackson) posted the fastest time in the preliminaries but finished second in nation, just .03 of a second behind the first place team. Lud Blair and Brett Evans posted the best times in the 100m preliminaries but Evans finished fifth and Blair finished sixth in the finals. Evans also finished third and Blair finished forurth in the 200m finals. Delick Mutabazi finished eighth in the nation in the 1,500m. Sam Posniewski finished fifth in the nation in the 400m hurdles. Michael Scott finished seventh in the county in high jump.

This was a very productive rebuilding season for the Montgomery College men's track and field team with many athletes reaching new personal bests.
