Raptors Women's Soccer Blanks Potomac, Falls to Mercer

The MC women's soccer team (5-5, 2-2 MD JUCO) was looking to continue a winning trend in the second game of the double header against Potomac St. College (6-2). Raptors freshman, Robin Hodgson, connected with her classmate, Claire Couturier to tally Montgomery's first goal in the 6th minute of the match.
Both teams defense played strong, until the 62nd minute when Raptors Nathaly Alvear combined with Alejandra Ramos to score the second goal of the game. Montgomery's goal keeper, Leke Fontava stopped all nine shots on goal from Potomac State getting her second shutout of the season. The MC women's soccer team completes the sweep of Potomac state winning, 2-0.
The MC Raptors women's soccer team fell 1-0 to Division I, Mercer County Community College (6-4, 2-2) on Saturday, October 3.
