Raptors Women's Soccer Wins 2015 Region XX Title, Falls Short of District F Championship
Montgomery College women's soccer won the Region XX title by defeating Howard CC but fell short of the District F Title.
The Montgomery College women's soccer team played #2 Howard CC on Thursday in the semifinals of the NJCAA DIII Region XX/ District F Tournament. It was a defensive battle and both teams played very hard. The game was scoreless until the 77th minute when Montgomery's Alejandra Ramos found Robin Hodgson and blasted a shot past the Howard goalkeeper. That proved to be the deciding goal and the Raptors upset #2 Howard CC 1-0 to advance to the Finals.

On Saturday, Montgomery College played Oxford College for the District F title and a trip to the national tournament. Regulation ended and the score was tied 0-0 and no one was able to score in overtime; the title would be decided by penalty kicks. Oxford was able to come out on top 4-3. Leke Fonta Raptors played a great game and had a terrific season. Congratulations to Montgomery's Nathaly Alvear, Alejandra Ramos and Sonia Rada for being named to the All-Tournament team.
