Postseason Baseball Has Arrived!
After wrapping up the regular season with a 30-18 overall record and a strong 20-8 mark in division play, Montgomery College heads into the 2026 Region 20 Tournament as the No. 5 seed.
The Raptors have been one of the most explosive offensive teams in Region 20 this season:
- 483 runs scored
- 472 hits
- 86 home runs
- 112 stolen bases
- .339 team batting average
- .608 team slugging percentage
Montgomery's lineup has been powered by several standout performers all season long:
- Mickey Anderson leads the team with a .432 batting average, adding 70 hits, 46 RBI, and 9 home runs.
- Zachary Pyles has been electric at the plate with 70 runs scored, 13 home runs, and a .765 slugging percentage.
- Jackson Freeman launched a team-high 20 home runs while driving in 62 RBI and posting a .818 slugging percentage.
- Eromosele Okojie added 15 home runs and 58 RBI while hitting .355 on the season.
On the mound, sophomore Daerek Sawyer has led the pitching staff with 8 wins and 72 strikeouts across 65.2 innings pitched.
The road to the championship begins Saturday at Garrett College in McHenry, Maryland, where the Raptors will battle No. 8 seed Anne Arundel Community College in the opening round. A win would set up a second showdown later that day against host and No. 4 seed Garrett College. Survive Saturday, and the Raptors will punch their ticket to the next round the following week for a matchup with top-seeded Frederick Community College at the Frederick campus.
With momentum on their side and postseason dreams ahead, the Raptors are ready to make some noise in Region 20 tournament play!
