MC Athletics Announces New Men's & Women's Track Head Coach
Montgomery College Athletics is pleased to announce the new Men's and Women's Track & Field coach, N'Kelle Harper.
Coach Kelle is a proud native of Prince George's County, Maryland, where she competed for Largo High School before continuing her athletic and academic journey at Long Island University (LIU), representing the LIU Blackbirds for four years.
At Largo High School, Coach Kelle was a standout athlete, competing in events ranging from the 100m to the 800m, as well as in the horizontal jumps. As a senior, she capped off her high school career by winning a state championship in the triple jump.
During her collegiate career at LIU, she made an immediate impact. As a freshman, she helped lead the 4x400 meter relay team to a gold medal at the Northeast Conference (NEC) Women's Indoor Track & Field Championship. She concluded her senior year with an individual title in the 400m hurdles at the NEC Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championship.
Coach Kelle brings a wealth of coaching experience, having worked with student-athletes at her alma mater, Largo High School, and with various youth and high school programs across Maryland, Virginia, and Texas.
As a dedicated military spouse and mother of three, Coach Kelle is passionate about developing the whole athlete — on the track, in the classroom, and in life. She is committed to helping her athletes reach the next level, whether that means pursuing a professional career in track and field, starting their careers, or advancing their education.
