Mohawk Valley - Utica, NY – The Raptors women's track and field team did not let the weather at NJCAA DIII Outdoor Track & Field Championship waver their achievement. The team had a remarkable final day as the Raptors made several trips to the podium.
In the women's 400 meters finals, Kimberly Stamets finished in third place with a time of 1:01.21 while the Raptors 4 x 100m relay team, which included Tanyka Trotman, Kimberly Stamets, Imani Costely, Djamila Zangre, placed third with a time of 53.96. The Raptors women's 4 x 400m relay team, comprised of Stamets, Trotman, Costely, Zangre, finished in fourth place with a time of 4:19.33.
On the field side, Justina Ababio brought home a third-place finish in the Shot Put finals with a mark of 11.77m (38' 7.5") and recorded a fourth-place finish in the Hammer with a mark of 31.70m (104' 0"). Taylor Washington recorded a sixth place in the Discus finals with a mark of 30.97m (101' 7") while Imani Costely also finished in a sixth place in the Triple Jump finals with a mark of 10.35m (33' 11.5").
