Raptors Women's Basketball Ends in the District G Championship Falling to WGTC After the nationally ranked MC Raptors women’s basketball team dominated the NJCAA Region XX Tournament the team traveled to Covington, Georgia to compete in the NJCAA District G Championship.On Saturday, March 4th Raptors lost to the Region XVII Champions, West Georgia Tech College 81-70. Addison Scores 41, MC Women's Basketball Team Wins Region XX Title Over PGCC The women's basketball team outscored their opponents by 79 in route to claiming the 2017 NJCAA DIII Region XX Championship! Sherri Addison was selected the Tournament MVP and Armonie Lomax was named to the All Region XX Tournament Team. Three Raptors Named to All-MDJUCO Women's Basketball Team The Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference named three Raptors to the 2016-17 All-MD JUCO Women's Basketball Teams. Freshman guard, Armonie Lomax, received first team honors, freshman guard Caleema Johnson received second team honors while sophomore guard Sheri Addison received honorable mention. Full Story
Women's Basketball Wins Fifth Straight, Jumps to #5 in the National Rankings On February 1, the MC women's basketball team coasted to an easy win against Allegany College of Maryland 116-37. The Raptors scored 37 points in the first quarter as they held Allegany to only nine points in the first half. Everyone that suited up for Montgomery played and everyone scored. Five Raptors scored in double figures: Caleema Johnson (31 points), Sheri Addison (21 points) and Armonie Lomax (24 points) combining for 76 points. Jewel Johnson had seven assists to go along with her 11 points. Tyra Lyles added 12 points off the bench and Addison had a double double with 11 steals in the 79-point victory. Full Story
Nationally Ranked Women's Basketball Finishes 5-1 in Tough January Schedule The MC women's basketball team is cruising along with a 5-1 record in the month of January leaving teams like Frederick, CCBC Catonsville, and Brookdale CC in their wake. Raptors Women's Basketball Jumps to #7 Nationally After Tallying Two MDJUCO Wins to Start off 2017 In the Raptors first game of 2017, the MC women's basketball team defeated nationally-ranked Division II Cecil College (11-2), 93-76. Raptors Women's Basketball Climbs to 10th in the National Poll The Raptors women's basketball team is currently ranked 10th in the nation as they finish 2016 with an overall record of 11-3 and 4-1 in the MDJUCO. Thus far in the season, the Raptors have scored more points than any other team in the NJCAA DIII and are first in the nation in steals per game with 24; and fifth in points per game scoring with an average of 82.4 pts per game. Women's Basketball Enters Holiday Tournament on Seven-Game Win Streak! This past weekend, the Raptors women's basketball team defeated Chesapeake College, 77-65. Montgomery's 12-point victory was led by Caleema Johnson who finished with a game high 27 points. Full Story

Justina Ababio Women's Track & FieldJustina Ababio won a National Championship in the women’s discuss with a throw of 32.94m; while also placing third in the shot put (10.43m) and fourth in the hammer throw (34.39m) at the 2017 NJCAA DIII Track and Field National Championships. Ababio was also named 2017 NJCAA Eastern Region Field Athlete of the Year!
